Kentucky hosted a large number of official visitors once again over the weekend.
UCF commit and athlete Demarcus Gardner confirmed to Cats Illustrated that he did make the trip to Lexington and called it a "great" experience overall.
Samari Reed confirmed that he was Lexington-bound before the trip began but hasn't been active posting on social media since then.
The big immediate news coming out of this weekend's official visits was the commitment of four-star Texas ATH and wide receiver prospect Ja'Kayden Ferguson, whose courtship by the Wildcats had been fairly quiet until recently. But he did tell Cats Illustrated earlier in the spring that he had a relationship with UK receivers coach Daikiel Shorts dating back to his freshman year of high school.
Fresh off a big offer from Ohio State, tight end target Brody Lennon still made his way to Lexington for the weekend and told Cats Illustrated the experience went very well. Meeting with the coaches and players was the highlight of the trip, and visiting quarterback commitment Brennen Ward reposted the above message on X.com.
Lennon has been a top tight end target for Kentucky for many months now and is coveted for his athleticism.
Four-star Alabama cornerback Andrew Purcell was one of the weekend's big visitors but he has not gone on the record about his trip in spite of some chatter that it went very well.
Cats Illustrated has reported that four-star running back Marquise Davis is very solid in his commitment to the program and he reiterated his commitment after his official visit to Lexington.
All of the other prospects who visited Kentucky officially over the weekend had posted social media graphics confirming their plans to visit and CI will be getting in touch with as many as possible in the days ahead as decisions approach.
