STAYING PUT
Paul Washington and his wife, Sherry, were with the Team USA at the under 19 FIBA World Cup in Egypt to watch their son, incoming Kentucky freshman P.J. Washington, play for coach John Calipari.
“Our son is here, so if he goes, we come out with him,” Paul Washington said Sunday via phone after Team USA’s easy win over Angolia. “It’s just the two of us. We left our other two children at home. It’s been a wild ride, but it has been fun.”

FAUSTIN DOWN TO TEN
Faustin, a 6-foot-2, 170-pound cornerback from Naples, Fla., announced that his favorites are Maryland, Virginia, Iowa State, Boston College, USF, NC State, Nebraska, Michigan, Kentucky and UCF.
Attached to the graphic (above) illustrating his list of favorites, Faustin wrote, that his "recruitment is still open," even though he's narrowed his list.
FOUR-STAR AT FIVE
Jones announced via Twitter on Sunday that his five favorites are Vanderbilt, South Carolina, Utah, Louisville and Kentucky. Jones said that his list could change.
The 5-foot-10, 168-pound defensive back is ranked the No. 29 cornerback prospect in the nation according to Rivals.com, and the No. 69 player in Florida. That alone is a testament to the amount of talent in Florida, but the bigger point is that Jones is a big priority for Kentucky.
EXUDING CONFIDENCE
Watch this video on Bam Adebayo from the Sun Sentinel. He's had some ups and downs in early summer league action, but one thing he's not lacking is confidence.
FOCUSED ON SIX
The 6-foot-4, 260-pound offensive tackle from Detroit (Mich.) University of Detroit Jesuit High announced, as can be seen in the graphic above, a list of favorites that includes Pittsburgh, Boston College, Iowa, Illinois, Oregon State and Kentucky.
That's a top six and it seems to be in no particular order.
Back at the start of May, Vettorello told CatsIllustrated.com that he had visited Kentucky once before.
"I've been there once," Vettorello told CatsIllustrated.com. "It was for a junior day. What stood out to me was the weight room. It was one of the best weight rooms I've seen."
Kentucky verbally offered Vettorello back in April.
USA REMAINS PERFECT
John Calipari's USA U19 moved to 2-0 in the FIBA 2017 World Cup. The Americans defeated Angola 109-68.
Kentucky freshmen Hamidou Diallo and P.J. Washington picked up where they left off yesterday against Iran. The two combined for 26 points. Here are five takeaways from the USA's win.
MEEKS AS INSURANCE
Jodie Meeks is a 6-4 shooting guard who has the potential to be the best backup Bradley Beal has had entering his sixth NBA season with the Wizards. But there'a a major caveat that comes with it and that's health.
In the last three seasons, Meeks has played a total of 99 games for the Detroit Pistons and Orlando Magic because of injuries. He began 2016 on the shelf because of right foot surgery and then required right thumb surgery several months later. after dislocating it during a game vs. New Orleans.
