From the forums
"Sure is a puzzling decision for me. I just looked at several mock drafts and the kid is among the top 15 in all of them. Seems like a big risk and will take him a year longer to get to the second contract.
Hope he enjoys college and stays healthy. If he was my son, I would have sat him down for a real long talk about it.MSU has gone 132-51 the last 5 seasons. A record like that would have a UK coach on a real hot seat if not already fired."

"One of these days Cal will leave or retire and the same people begging for 4 year players will be begging for top 10 players."
"The problem is the pattern, not the individuals. Every damn year we have kids, usually multiple, going pro or leaving when they have absolutely no business doing so. Two already this year, and Wenyen's supposedly considering it. We've somehow bred a culture where you're expected to leave early, and if you don't, you're a failure. In 2012 we won the title because we had a mixture of ridiculously good talent and a lot of experienced leadership. And that was a fluke, caused by the NBA lockout."
