Lawrenceville (Ga.) Central Gwinnett quarterback Jarren Williams is one of the hottest signal-caller prospects in the country from the 2018 class.
Fresh off a visit to Alabama and an offer from the Tide, he touched base with CatsIllustrated.com to share the latest in his recruitment.
Speaking of Alabama's offer, the 6-foot-3, 205-pound pass-first but mobile pro-style quarterback told CatsIllustrated.com, "I'm just honored and privileged for these coaches to recognize all my talent and hard work."
Alabama's offer followed offers from South Carolina, Mississippi State, LSU, Tennessee, Arizona State, Florida, Ole Miss, Michigan State, Missouri and Miami.
Before Alabama's offer, and before recent trips to schools like Florida, Florida State and LSU among others, Williams had planned to attend Kentucky's spring game, which will take place this Friday, April 14th.
That visit is still on, Williams said on Wednesday.
"Kentucky is my last visit this spring," Williams told CatsIllustrated.com. I've pretty much seen and heard everything I need to. I'll be at the spring game Friday."
So what does that mean?
Does it mean that Williams is shutting down his recruitment? Does it mean that he's leaving the door open to summer visits or camps?
Williams clarified.
"Nothing's planned right now and I've never been open," Williams said. "I've just been listening. Right now I'm focusing on the team and getting ready for spring."
