Linebacker Roland Walder would have been a redshirt freshman at Kentucky during the 2017 season, but he announced his plans to transfer from the program on Tuesday.
The former three-star recruit made his plans known on Twitter.
"Let me start off by thanking the University of Kentucky staff for letting me be a part of their family. I would like to thank all the coaches for their talks and life lessons all throughout my first year of college. After talking with my family I will be transferring to further my education and football career somewhere else. Best of luck to the Big Blue Nation!"
That was Walder's message on Tuesday afternoon.
Walder hailed from Trotwood-Madison in Ohio as a Class of 2016 recruit and he redshirted as a true freshman during the 2016 campaign.
He is the fourth Kentucky linebacker to transfer from the program since the end of last season, joining De'Niro Laster, Nico Firios and Kobie Walker.
