"I think UK is almost to the point of being able to tell a good recruit that "if you are open we are open" line but just not there yet, certainly not with a recruit of Williams present value. I do think the kind of year I see for Kentucky football would mean this may not be over. Winning the SEC east would (you would think) give the kid a reason to think twice."

"Obviously it could change things from a UK perspective, as we could lose a guy that is believed to be a starter on next year's team. But I think the next few weeks could change more than that.

If the NBA personnel is willing to draft a guy that meets the requirements, but never actually played in college, then it could actually change what these guys do moving forward. Diallo was able to hide his weaknesses because he didn't want to play this year against college players. So him getting drafted could show others that the best thing to do, is work at your game while sitting out a year, show up at the combine, and get drafted. It means that there would no longer be a merit for the one and done rule, and the NBA would need to either change that to 2 or more years, or do away with it all together. While losing Diallo would suck for us, it would likely suck just as much to the NBA, providing a way for these players to enter the draft without going against upgraded competition."

"This entire board is going to do a 180 when Johnson commits, Bamba commits, and Diallo comes back."

"I don't think Diallo will leave. But even if he does, I don't understand the anger. We did not give up anything or lose anything by him coming here. We didn't miss on any recruits because he was here. We weren't out of scholarships. I don't see any downside."
