Jarren Williams decommits from Kentucky

As first reported by Rivals.com, quarterback Jarren Williams has decommitted from Kentucky.

Williams had been committed to Kentucky since last year, when he pledged to the Cats after attending a camp in Lexington.

The 6-foot-3, 205-pound quarterback from Lawrenceville (Ga.) Central Gwinnett had remained committed to Kentucky through most of the spring even after visits to schools like Florida, Florida State, Alabama, Tennessee and LSU.

Williams had said he was solid to Kentucky after all of those trips, and mentioned to CatsIllustrated.com that his last trip of the spring would be to Kentucky.

But apparently at a Rivals camp in Georgia over the weekend Williams went on record saying he would likely camp at Florida State this summer.

Williams follows in the footsteps of 2017 quarterback recruit Mac Jones who committed to Kentucky early only to change course before the summer.
