"I've seen the players Coach (Eddie) Gran put out and I can see myself as one of those players," Ali told Cats Illustrated. "I love the offense that he runs and I will be able to get my opportunity to play right away and have a chance to show my skills.

"The SEC is one of the best conferences in college football and I will have all of the competition I need to play on the next level," he concluded.

What does Gran like about Ali?

"My hands, routes, (he plays) smooth and that I'm competitive," Ali answered.

Ali said he will be visiting Kentucky on July 16, right around the time of another series of camps for the football program.

He hasn't yet visited Kentucky.

Pittsburgh, NC State, Louisville, Iowa and West Virginia are just some of the other Power Five schools that had offered Ali prior to his commitment to Kentucky.
