Woodson, Tamme top Coaches All-SEC

Kentucky's impressive offensive display in 2006 caught the eyes of the Southeastern Conference's coaches, leaving a lasting impression that led to four Cats garnering preseason All-SEC honors this year.

The fourth annual SEC Coaches Preseason All-SEC Teams were announced Thursday and both André Woodson and Jacob Tamme earned first team honors, while Kennan Burton and Rafael Little also drew praise from the men who are charged with slowing them down in 2007.

Woodson, who passed for 3,515 yards and 31 touchdowns a year ago, beat out Tennessee's Erik Ainge and Vanderbilt's Chris Nickson to claim the top spot in the coaches' minds. Tamme surpassed South Carolina's Andy Boyd and Arkansas' Ben Cleveland at tight end.

Burton was voted onto the second team despite ranking second in the SEC in catches, first in touchdown receptions and fourth in receiving yardage a year ago. He was beat out by Vanderbilt's Earl Bennett and LSU's Early Doucet. Little was voted to the third team as both a running back and return specialist. Wesley Woodyard was UK's only representative on the defensive side of that ball, breaking onto the second team.
