Jarren Williams, Xavier Peters stand out at combines
On Sunday, Jarren Williams and Xavier Peters were at a Nike Regional in Charlotte, N.C. It was an interesting and unplanned meet-up for two of Kentucky's very top targets from the 2018 class, and two players the Cats have a good shot at landing.
Both represented themselves extremely well, with Williams earning an invitation to the Elite 11 Finals in Los Angeles, California in early June, and Peters earning a trip to The Opening.
Word is Peters also performed very well at the Under Armour Camp in Cincinnati, Ohio, recently, so his stock is soaring. There's no question about Williams' stock right now. While both are three-star prospects on Rivals.com, those close to Kentucky's program are treating both as four or five-star level prospects in terms of emphasis and significance.
Four-star linebacker announces top ten soon
Four-star St. Louis (Mo.) Ritenour inside linebacker Ayodele Adeoye will announce his top ten this coming Friday afternoon and CatsIllustrated.com has good reason to believe Kentucky will make that initial list.
While the Cats don't recruit the Show Me State frequently, Dillon Sanders has offered a lot of 2018 prospects from the state and Adeoye has already visited Kentucky.
Other schools that could be in play for Adeoye when that top ten drops include Georgia, Iowa, LSU, Minnesota, Ole Miss, Missouri, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, South Carolina and Texas
More offers go out
Kentucky's search for a running back continues and that helps explain the weekend offer to Chris Curry, a 5-foot-11, 205-pound back from Lehigh Acres (Fla.). Louisville and Auburn are among his other most recent offers.
Just a week ago CatsIllustrated.com reported that Darin Hinshaw would be watching TaQuan Roberson, a 2019 quarterback from New Jersey. Hinshaw did watch Roberson throw and very late last week the player reported an offer from Kentucky.
Nathan Pickering is a 2019 defensive lineman from Mississippi and the recipient of the most recent offer extended by the Cats' staff.
