WHO'S LEFT TO PITCH?

"Zach Logue, who threw 58 pitches in relief on Saturday night against NC State, is the only regular starter who hasn't started a game yet. He seems like the most likely candidate to start in Game 7 of the Lexington Regional on Monday night, but head coach Nick Mingione said nearly everyone besides Zack Thompson, who threw over 100 pitches in UK's win on Sunday, could be available.

"Everyone else, guys this group is amazing, they’ve all come up to me and told me they can pitch," Mingione said. "(Sean) Hjelle wants to throw, (Logan) Salow wants to throw, Brad (Schaenzer) wants to throw, the second (Chris) Machamer got out of the game he said ‘coach, I’ll be ready tomorrow,’ Pop hasn’t thrown. Justin Lewis came up to me in between games and said ‘coach, I’m ready. Coach (Jimmy) Belanger ain’t biting tonight but I’m just telling you. I want you to know I’m ready.’"

CATS STILL ALIVE

"The Wildcats are still alive. Needing two wins on Sunday to force a seventh and final game in the Lexington Regional, UK did just that by defeating NC State 8-6 to force a winner-take-all game on Monday night.

Here are the main storylines from the game."

ELITE11: 7v7 OBSERVATIONS

"At first, I was impressed with how quickly he was able to move his feet in pocket drills last summer. Watching this Elite11 footage, his footwork is so much better as a dropback passer in the pocket. Talking when he's getting into his drop and going through his reads, his footwork is like night/day compared to last summer. That improved footwork has obviously helped his accuracy, which seems to have improved. He goes to his second read much, much more seamlessly. On one play he scanned the left side of the field and at the very last second pivoted, turned his body and fired it in way passed the right hash down the field for a first down strike, with a cornerback not far off the ball...." VISITING THE VOLS

"Shocky Jacques-Louis committed to Kentucky in late April, but the South Florida wideout continues to pickup notable offers — and heavy interest — from several blue-blood programs including Tennessee and Michigan.

Vols coaches watched Jacques-Louis practice during the spring evaluation period, extending an offer to the Fort Myers (Fla.) native shortly thereafter just last week.

Since then, Jacques-Louis has emerged as a potential priority target for Tennessee’s final receiver spot in the 2018 class."

CATS ELIMINATED INDIANA

"Facing elimination for the first time in this NCAA Tournament, UK had little trouble taking care of Indiana on Sunday at Cliff Hagan Stadium. The Wildcats scored six runs in the sixth inning, four of those runs courtesy of a Riley Mahan grand slam, and four more in the 8th inning to cruise to a 14-9 win."

PISTONS TRADE UP FOR MONK?

"The Detroit Pistons, a team in need of scorers and shooters, land potentially the best combination of both in Malik Monk, according to this mock draft by CBS.

The Detroit Pistons have a need for scorers and shooters, and they have unproven talent behind Kentavious Caldwell-Pope. The team could also use a player on their team capable of developing into an all-star caliber player."
