Kentucky baseball moves into top 10

The Kentucky baseball team moved from No. 16 to No. 8 in the updated top 25 rankings on D1baseball.com. The Wildcats went 3-1 last week, winning twice over Vanderbilt and once over Cincinnati.

Florida is ranked seventh in the conference, making Kentucky the second highest ranked team in the conference according to D1baseball.com. The Wildcats are 21-8 in their first season under Nick Mingione and sit in first place in the SEC East with a 7-2 conference record.

Kentucky travels to No. 2 Louisville on Tuesday and then go to Starkville, Miss., for a weekend slate against Mississippi State.

The Wildcats are ranked No. 13 by Baseball America.
