Big defensive tackle Kobe Smith had a solid game despite Lawrenceville (Ga.) Archer falling in a tight battle to Grayson 26-24. Rivals.com analyst Woody Wommack watched the game last Friday and had this to say about Smith's performance:
"Smith's job is to clog up the middle of the field and draw double teams, but he showed he's more than capable of contributing as a pass rusher as well."
Archer has a bye this week.
Westerville (Ohio) Central and running back Benny Snell had no problem with Olentangy Orange as the Warhawks won 33-10. Their next game is on the road as they take on Dublin Scioto.
