Steven Clinkscale has been a busy man lately. The Cats' secondary coach has been in Michigan, and he dumped off a lot of new offers to young players in the state.
It's a wide net approach designed to net a commitment or two. CatsIllustrated.com takes a closer look at the players Clinkscale offered in the state.

THE LATEST: This may be the offer of greatest immediate significance, of those that Clinkscale recently sent out in Michigan. Kentucky is looking for a running back or two and Collins can play the position at the SEC level. He could play other positions, too, and is open to whatever a program might have in store for him. Collins isn't sure if or when he might visit Kentucky but he did tell CatsIllustrated.com he'll take a closer look at UK.
Other offers include Boston College, Indiana, Iowa, Iowa State, Michigan State, Minnesota, Missouri, Pitt, Purdue, Syracuse and Wisconsin.
THE LATEST: Hunt is mostly an unknown in the recruiting world but Kentucky is, apparently, the first school to offer the 6-foot-2 defensive end. That's something that will probably resonate with him.
THE LATEST: Gray is one of the top juniors (soon-to-be rising seniors) in the state and as such he's becoming popular. He has the right kind of length in the secondary so it's no surprise that Clinkscale likes him. Purdue, Washington State, Syracuse, Cincinnati, Iowa State and Oregon State are among the other schools that have offered.
THE LATEST: Running back offers are significant because programs don't tend to cast quite as wide a net at the position. Akron, Missouri, Toledo and Indiana are among the other schools that have offered Nichols.
THE LATEST: Payne is a Class of 2021 recruit which means that, yes, he's a junior high school student. In spite of that he's already visited Lexington. CatsIllustrated.com saw him at Kentucky over the summer during the camp season and he was physically impressive for such a young recruit. Payne had a couple of offers from non-Division I schools prior to Kentucky's offer, but Georgia offered shortly after the Cats.
THE LATEST: Grant hails from one of the top talent-producing programs in Michigan and coaches are always looking for an in at the school. Grant doesn't yet have a long offer list, but what he lacks in quantity he makes up for in quality. Iowa and Michigan have also offered.
