TUBBY ON: “He’s a walk-on who has really improved and gotten stronger. Ravi is a kid who is going to give Cliff, Gerald and all the other scholarship players all they want in practice. If he continues to improve, he’ll get adequate playing time.”
IN THE CROSSHAIRS: The most likely of the walk-ons to get playing time because of his athletic ability. Some of Moss’ backcourt mates have raved about what he could eventually become at UK if he continues to improve under the coaching staff’s watchful eye.
THE KNOCK: More of an athlete than a basketball player according to some, which Moss laughs at, saying his isn’t all that athletic to begin with. His understanding of the game should do nothing but improve as his career moves along.
STATITUDE: Moss scored nine points in 12 games as a freshman, but seven of those came at the charity stripe, where he made 7-of-11 free throws. Of course, six of those came against Alcorn State.
HIGHLIGHT REEL: For fans and media, it’s Moss’ pregame dance ritual with Chuck Hayes, who has become one of his closest friends on the squad. The shimmy-shake became a staple last year and Moss promises to upgrade it this season.
OUTLOOK: If Moss really lights it up in practice, he might get a legitimate look at some playing time this season. More likely is Moss earning his stripes again this season in practice and then getting a chance to really shine next year.
