UK recruit switches commitment to LaTech

Kentucky recently received a verbal commitment from Baton Rouge (La.) Catholic defensive end Matthew Broha, but the departure of the Wildcats' defensive coordinator and his recruiting coach has reportedly led to a change of heart.
According to a report in Wednesday's edition of The Advocate, Broha has decided to sign with Louisiana Tech after taking an official visit with the home state school.

Broha (6-4, 222) was recruited by former UK defensive coordinator Mike Archer, who left Lexington to take the same position at N.C. State.
"When I went on my visit to Kentucky it was just different because coach Archer was the guy I talked to the whole time. He's the one that really got me excited about it," Broha told The Advocate. "Our relationship was strong and that played a big factor in my decision. When I went to Tech they were excited about me being there. The people there are warm. I just had that feeling, that gut feeling, this was the place for me."
