Louisville (Ky.) Trinity four-star defensive end Stephen Herron cut his list to 10 schools on Sunday afternoon. Kentucky is still in the mix. Herron, one of the nation's top defensive end prospects in the 2019 class, has visited UK several times in the past.

Herron's final 10 list reads as a who's who of college football with schools such as Ohio State, Alabama, Michigan, Texas and Tennessee among others. Michigan and Ohio State are considered to be the leading schools in Herron's recruitment.

Herron spoke with Catsillustrated.com after a visit in April. "I was very impressed and Coach (Dean) Hood as well as Coach (Derrick) LeBlanc. He seemed to be a very good coach. Can't wait to see what they do as coaches when the season comes."
