TOP FIVE: In-state receiver announces his favorites

A lot of people expected Louisville (Ky.) Doss wide receiver Terez Traynor to be committed to Kentucky by now, following the Cats' offer at a camp earlier this month.

While Traynor isn't committed to Kentucky and remains on the open recruiting market, he did make some recruiting news on Tuesday when he released his initial list of five favorites.

Here's what the Doss receiver's Twitter message announcing his favorites read on Tuesday:

"First off I would like to thank God for putting me in this position I am in today, because without him I would be nothing. Secondly I would like to thank my mom and dad for raising me, keeping me focused, and having my back through my ups and downs! Thirdly I would like to thank my head coach Philip Hawkins for starting my journey as a great student, as well as a great football player. In addition to that I would like to thank all the universities who recruited me, and the coaches I have a relationship with and who I've learned from ....."

Traynor then went on to list Kentucky, Purdue, Cincinnati, Bowling Green and Western Kentucky as his five favorites.

Traynor was one of the better wide receivers at Kentucky's second night camp of the summer earlier this month. Mark Stoops personally insisted on watching Traynor against some of the better defensive backs at the camp, and after that camp the three-star receiver was offered by the UK staff, as CatsIllustrated.com and Rivals.com reported at the time.
