Class of 2018 athlete Alontae Taylor of Tennessee is grateful to have an offer from the Wildcats.
He picked that up late this week and spoke with Cats Illustrated about what it means.
Taylor is quickly becoming one of the Volunteer State's more popular rising juniors.
With an offer list that also includes Ole Miss, Georgia Tech, Louisville, Tennessee, Vanderbilt and plenty of Group of Five schools, the 5-foot-11, 180-pound athlete is set up pretty well in the early part of his recruitment.
Taylor was ecstatic about Kentucky's offer when he spoke with Cats Illustrated.
"I can't wait to get to Lexington, Kentucky," Taylor said. "Part of the best conference in college football. (Would) just like to thank God for blessing me with the talent that I have and the ability to play this sport. Kentucky is a school I'll be looking at really close, too."
Defensive coordinator D.J. Eliot is recruiting Tennessee on behalf of the coaching staff.
"It was coach Eliot (who offered)," Taylor said. "They told me they love how I can cut and my speed. Told me I can lock down wide receivers at the cornerback position. They pretty much just love my athletic ability."
