STATUS UPDATE: Where does Jacques-Louis stand following MSU offer?

On Thursday, Michigan State extended an offer to Kentucky wide receiver commitment Shocky Jacques-Louis.

CatsIllustrated.com has the latest on the 6-foot, 170-pound receiver from Fort Myers (Fla.) Dunbar.

Michigan State has been one of Kentucky's biggest recruiting rivals since Mark Stoops took over in Lexington, but Ohio has been where most of the wars between the Wildcats and Spartans have been waged.

Jacques-Louis tweeted his appreciation for the Spartans' offer on Thursday, but don't expect it to impact his recruitment right now.

"Still solid," Jacques-Louis told CatsIllustrated.com, indicating that his status with Kentucky has not changed.

Jacques-Louis and his brother, Rocky, visited Kentucky earlier this year unofficially for a junior day the program's coaches hosted. He didn't wait long to commit after returning home to Florida.

Rated a three-star prospect by Rivals.com, Jacques-Louis has also landed verbal offers from Georgia, Indiana, Maryland, Minnesota, Missouri, North Carolina, Oregon State, Rutgers, South Carolina, USF, Syracuse, UCF, Virginia and Wake Forest.
