The list of players planning to attend Kentucky's February 24th junior day keeps getting longer.
Here Cats Illustrated reports on a 6-foot-7, 240-pound South Florida tight end who is anxious to see Lexington for the first time.
Nikolas Ognenovic attends Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) Cardinal Gibbons and he's one of several players at the school who are hearing from Kentucky's football staff. Others include offensive guard Jamari Williams (who plans to officially visit UK and NC State), quarterback Nik Scalzo, running back Vincent Davis and Rivals250 defensive lineman Khris Bogle.
While all of those other players have been to UK before, Ognenovic will make his first trip about a week from now.
"A lot of South Florida players like it there," Ognenovic told Cats Illustrated on Friday. "I did not (visit) last summer but I'm going up on the 24th of this month."
Eddie Gran offered Ognenovic not long ago. He visited Cardinal Gibbons and let the staff know that he wants Ognenovic to play tight end in Lexington.
"I like it," Ognenovic said of Kentucky. "The training facilities are really nice and the school is good."
Ognenovic told Cats Illustrated that he does not know any of the South Florida players on Kentucky's roster or any of those who signed with the Wildcats in last year's class.
