Early this week news broke that Kentucky had added former Tennessee defensive coordinator John Jancek as a defensive analyst.
Now multiple sources tell CatsIllustrated.com that Mark Stoops' program has also hired a new offensive analyst.
Blake Rolan will serve as an off-the-field coach in an offensive analyst's capacity, according to multiple sources close to the program.
Rolan was previously wide receivers coach at the University of Cincinnati, and he has been in Mark Stoops' sights before as he has sought to fill spots on his coaching staff in Lexington.
Analysts have many duties for college football programs but they generally focus a large portion of their time on detailed film study and subsequent analysis that leads to the production of strategy, game planning and more.
Tommy Tuberville hired Rolan as wide receivers coach at Cincinnati in 2013. He played college football at Middle Tennessee state but earned his degree at Louisville back in 2005. His relationship with Tuberville went back to 2008 when he was a graduate assistant on the Plains.
He also coached alongside current Kentucky quarterbacks coach and co-offensive coordinator Darin Hinshaw at Tennessee.
