STATUS: Will sign on Wednesday and enroll in June.

RESUME: Dotson was part of a star-studded Belfry offensive line and a team that finished 14-1, losing only to Knoxville Catholic (Tenn.) and capping off their spectacular 2016 season with a 52-31 victory over Central in the state championship game. He's an AP All-State selection, a USA Today all-state choice and he played in the Best of the Bluegrass all-star game at season's end.

RECRUITING HISTORY: Dotson remained completely under the radar for the duration of his time as a recruit. He committed Kentucky all the way back in March of last year, so nearly a full year ago, and never looked back. Avoiding the media spotlight, Dotson was always regarded as a rock solid commitment for UK. Marshall had also offered him.

SCOUTING REPORT: Dotson is an absolute mauler and a road grader as a run blocker. He blew open as many holes as any offensive lineman in Kentucky prep football last year and his dominant film drew rave reviews. At Kentucky's Big Man Camp his size was undeniably impressive. He probably had the best physique of any offensive lineman at any of the summer events Cats Illustrated observed him at and is clearly very strong in the upper body. He has almost never been asked to pass protect for Belfry and did take some lumps in pass sets at UK's summer camps, but he showed that he's a quick learner.

CATS ILLUSTRATED PROJECTION: Dotson may just be a two-star recruit but he's also largely an unknown outside of those who follow Kentucky football recruiting or prep football in the state closely. He has a chance to develop into a quality starting offensive lineman in the SEC but he will need some time to develop his pass protection skills.
