STATUS: Will sign on Wednesday and enroll in June.

RESUME: Bohanna was part of a dominant Cordova (Tenn.) defense and he racked up a nearly unprecedented 19 sacks as a defensive tackle. He also had 91 tackles and 24 tackles for loss. Cordova finished 12-2.

RECRUITING HISTORY: Bohanna's stock as a recruit never took off with a large number of schools although he did land offers from the likes of Louisville, Memphis and a few others. There was some talk that he would visit Louisville and towards the end of the process there was some concern about the defensive lineman and Memphis, but Bohanna never spoke publicly about any of that, only telling Cats Illustrated he's 100-percent solid with Kentucky. He visited UK very early in the process and became a priority tackle target for defensive line coach Jimmy Brumbaugh. It was D.J. Eliot who recruited Bohanna's area, but Bohanna seemed to indicate that Brumbaugh developed the best relationship with him.

SCOUTING REPORT: Bohanna has the right size and he plays with a nasty streak. He missed Cordova's first game in 2016 because of a helmet to helmet hit in the 2015 state playoffs. In spite of that missed game his production was through the roof. His relentless pass rushing motor and bull rush ability allowed him to overpower and wear down the interior offensive linemen he faced all season long. He had five sacks in one game. Bohanna can continue to turn some bad weight to better weight but his body is good and so are his pass rush skills for a tackle.

CATS ILLUSTRATED PROJECTION: If Bohanna grasps the defense quickly and continues to work on his technique, mostly how he uses his hands, then he can play relatively early for a defensive lineman. He looks like a rotation player and potential starter down the road and could give Kentucky a better pass rush than they've often had up the middle.
