SIGNING DAY: A look at UK's top targets

The fall signing period starts today and Kentucky won't receive any signatures on Wednesday, but that won't be the case by next Wednesday when the signing period comes to a close.

The Cats have just one commitment for the class of 2018 but John Calipari could have three or four over the next seven days. Here's a look at when UK's top targets plan on announcing and where the Cats stand.

Immanuel Quickley

When he will announce: Quickley will sign with UK on Thursday.

Where UK stands: Quickley has already committed to Kentucky and is currently the only commitment for John Calipari in the class of 2018.

R.J. Barrett

When he will announce: Friday at 6 p.m. on TSN (A Canadian sports network).

Where UK stands: Barrett has done an amazing job of keeping things quiet in his recruitment. For over a month there had been no UK buzz, but that has changed this week.

Bol Bol

When he will announce: Bol hasn't set a date and it wouldn't be a shock if he just tweeted out his decision any moment. All signs point towards a fall signing and he cryptically tweeted out "Nov. 16th" not too long ago. That would be after the signing period but he could always send his papers in before officially announcing.

Where UK stands: It would be a complete surprise if Bol ended up at UK. Oregon will be the choice.

Darius Garland

When he will announce: Garland will commit on Friday or Monday.

Where UK stands: Garland will end up at Vanderbilt or IU, with the hometown team looking like the choice. The Commodores could put together a top 10 class if Garland stays home.

Quentin Grimes

When he will announce: All signs are pointing towards Grimes announcing in the next week but no official date has been set.

Where UK stands: Grimes and people close to him have nothing but great things to say about UK but it seems like some other schools have better opportunities regarding playing time.

Tyler Herro

When he will announce: Herro plans on announcing in the early period, which is good news for UK. He will officially visit UK this weekend and then he could pull the trigger on a decision.

Where UK stands: With no other visits currently planned everything screams UK in this recruitment.

Keldon Johnson

When he will announce: Johnson will announce Saturday at 6 p.m., just 24 hours after R.J. Barrett's decision.

Where UK stands: If UK were to land R.J. Barrett that may change things, but assuming Barrett goes to Duke or Oregon, Johnson should be a Cat.

Zion Williamson

When he will announce: We know when many top recruits want to decide even if we don't have a set date, but Williamson is unique because he hasn't indicated if he will sign in the fall or spring. Sources have said he's leaning towards the spring.

Where UK stands: Again, if Barrett picks UK it may change things in Williamson's recruitment but UK is in a nice spot for the electric forward.

Moses Brown

When he will announce: Brown will announce in the spring.

Where UK stands: Kentucky hasn't formally offered the newly targeted center, but once they get Brown on campus for an official visit an offer will follow.
