Mansfield (Ohio) Madison Comprehensive safety Tyrell Ajian is one of the biggest names on the Cats' 2017 recruiting board.
Cats Illustrated reported that the 6-foot-1, 185-pound four-star defensive back was planning to visit Kentucky when they hosted Florida. He's since confirmed that he did take that visit and over the weekend he told Cats Illustrated that his interest in UK is still strong following that trip.
Ajian, in a brief interview, said that the trip to Lexington went well.
PREMIUM: The rumor mill was churning when Ajian visited UK. Get the scoop here.
It was made better, and he was more comfortable, because of the fact that he already knew commitments Michael Warren, James Hudson, Mac Jones and Tobias Gilliam going into the camp. He knew those players from previous camp experiences.
"Talked to all of them (at the game)," Ajian confirmed.
As for the coaches?
"(They were) just talking about how well I'd fit in down there," he said.
Ajian, ranked the No. 8 junior in Ohio and the No. 216 player on the Rivals250, confirmed that he's still been hearing from Kentucky since he visited for the UK-Florida game.
He doesn't have a clear-cut favorite although Ajian has spoken highly of Notre Dame and Kentucky in the past.
