Report: Guy commits to Wildcats

According to a published report by the Lexington Herald-Leader on Kentucky.com, three-star Lexington Catholic defensive back Winston Guy has given a verbal commitment to play for the Wildcats.
Guy (6-0, 186, 4.4) originally committed to Arkansas this summer, but re-opened his recruitment in the fall as UK put together another successful season and speculation concerning the future of Razorback head coach Houston Nutt surfaced. On Monday, reports surfaced that Nutt will be dismissed.

CatsIllustrated.com efforts to reach Guy for comment have been unsuccessful, but he told the Herald-Leader that he committed to the Cats during an in-home visit with head coach Rich Brooks and linebacker coach Chuck Smith on Sunday night. "I told them I wanted to be a Wildcat. I don't want it to be a distraction right now. I want to focus on winning the state championship. After that, it'll be official."
Lexington Catholic plays Harrison County in the Class 4A semifinals on Friday.
Stay tuned to CatsIllustrated.com for more on Guy's recruitment later today.
