Report: Cats pick up verbal from punter

With limited scholarships available in the Class of 2007, Kentucky wasn't expected to pursue a specialist this year, but the plan has apparently changed.
According to a published report in the Louisville Courier-Journal, the Wildcats have received a verbal commitment from Trinity kicker/punter Ryan Tydlacka.

Tydlacka (6-2, 200) was a first-team all-state selection at punter as a junior. Although he also excels as a placekicker, he's expected to punt at UK. He's averaging 47.6 yards per punt this season with a long of 61.
Tydlacka, whose brother, Wade, kicked for the University of Louisville, was recruited by UK assistant Joker Phillips. He had an audition for UK head coach Rich Brooks earlier this summer, leading to the scholarship offer.
