REIGELSPERGER COMMITS: Ohio defensive end picks the Cats

Kentucky picked up its fourth commitment from a 2018 prospect on Saturday, when three-star Ohio defensive end Alex Reigelsperger picked the Cats.

It wasn't exactly the best-kept secret around, but it's a big development for Kentucky nonetheless. Reigelsperger announced his commitment to Kentucky in basically a formality during the KSR pregame show in advance of UK's basketball game against Florida.

Reigelsperger has visited Kentucky seemingly countless times over the course of the past year, when he was first introduced to the program around the time Vince Marrow and the staff were recruiting former teammate Tobias Gilliam, who is currently a freshman in the UK program.

The 6-foot-5, 230-pound defensive end is ranked the No. 25 player in Ohio from the Class of 2018 according to Rivals.com.

Some of his other offers are from Cincinnati, Duke, Iowa, Iowa State, Minnesota, Pittsburgh, Purdue, Rutgers, West Virginia and Wisconsin.

Reigelsperger is Kentucky's fourth commitment in the 2018 class. Quarterback Jarren Williams of Lawrenceville (Ga.) Central Gwinnett was UK's first commitment, and just this week receiver Marvin Alexander and defensive lineman Davoan Hawkins, both of Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna, committed to the Cats.
