This one's not a surprise.
Steubenville, Ohio tight end Charles Reeves committed to Kentucky on Thursday, just more than a day after picking up an offer from Kentucky.
The writing was on the wall. Cats Illustrated teased that Reeves' commitment could be happening, both because of hints that Reeves had dropped as well as what sources close to the program were teasing.
The 6-foot-5, 240-pound prospect from eastern Ohio, about 45 minutes west of Pittsburgh, is a two-sport athlete. He plays basketball and football and is a very good athlete for a player of his size.
Reeves is ranked the No. 17 player in Ohio according to Rivals.com. He had offers from Michigan, Wisconsin and Ohio in addition to Kentucky.
Russ Yeast and Mac Jones, other 2017 Kentucky commitments, had helped the staff in recruiting Reeves. Vince Marrow is his recruiter on behalf of the UK staff.
Reeves is commitment No. 6 for the Cats in the 2017 class, joining the two aforementioned players as well as Michael Warren, Walker Wood and James Hudson.
