T.J. Collett and Luke Heyer continued their assault on opposing pitchers Sunday, combining for eight hits in Kentucky's 10-4 win over Louisiana to wrap up a 3-0 showing at the Shriners College Classic in Houston.

Collett went 4-for-5 with a pair of doubles, a home run and three RBI. Heyer went 4-for-5 with two doubles and one RBI.

Heyer, a senior infielder/outfielder, pushed his team-leading batting average to .462 on the season. Collett, a sophomore designated hitter, tied Heyer for the club lead in home runs (7) and pushed his team-leading RBI total to 22, a pace to challenge UK's single-season record.

The No. 7 Wildcats (11-1) had 16 hits on the day. Seven of them were extra-base hits, including a two-run triple by Ryan Shinn.

Louisiana (4-7) led 3-2 in the sixth inning, but the Cats struck for four runs in the sixth, one in the seventh and three in the eighth to put the game away.

Kentucky starter Justin Lewis (3-0) pitched 6.1 innings, allowing four runs (two earned) on seven hits and one walk. The junior right-hander struck out seven batters.

Mason Hazelwood, Jimmy Ramsey, Aaron McGeorge and Chris Machamer gave UK 2.2 scoreless innings of relief to preserve the win.

Austin Perrin (0-3) took the loss for the Ragin' Cajuns, allowing four runs on eight hits and one walk through five-plus innings on the mound.

Kentucky returns to action on Tuesday in a 4 p.m. ET matchup with Eastern Kentucky at Cliff Hagan Stadium.
