Pouncey's 515 receiving yards and seven touchdowns last year caught the attention of plenty of schools, and to date he has pulled in over 40 scholarship offers. Reigning national champion Alabama is on Pouncey's offer list, as are plenty of other programs from the Southeast, the Mid-Atlantic and beyond.

His highlights have been popular with coaches and fans on Hudl.com, and that reel shows off the ability that has made him a coveted recruit. His length and ability to win balls in the red zone are among his best assets.

Cats Illustrated spoke with Pouncey to gain insight into his recruitment. Here's the brief conversation in Q&A format.

Cats Illustrated: Who's your lead recruiter from Kentucky?

Jordan Pouncey: Coach (Darin) Hinshaw is the coach who offered me and he recently came to my school to visit me.

Cats Illustrated: Have you heard from any other recruits about joining them in college?

Pouncey: I talk with Mac Jones a lot and he is always trying to recruit me to join him at UK.

Cats Illustrated: Have you had a chance to narrow down a list of top schools to choose from?

Pouncey: I've been thinking about it a lot. I have a list but it's always subject to change.

Cats Illustrated: What are you looking for in a school?

Pouncey: Right now I'm focused on building relationships with the coaches. That's my number one thing. After that I would like an opportunity to play early.

Cats Illustrated: Do you have a time frame for releasing that list?

Pouncey: I'm thinking towards the end of the summer maybe.
