Kentucky's loss to Ole Miss certainly didn't help the Cats' quest to land in the Outback Bowl or one of the SEC's better postseason matchups, but at 6-3 Mark Stoops' program is still assured of a bowl game.

What are pundits saying about where the Cats might land following Week 10?

Updated Bowl Projections (11/6)

CollegeFootballNews.com calls for Kentucky-West Virginia in the Liberty Bowl. The Wildcats-Mountaineers matchup was a popular choice among pundits last week.

Sports Illustrated's latest bowl game predictions, updated Sunday, have Kentucky in the Liberty Bowl against Kansas State.

Jerry Palm of CBSSports.com makes three picking Kentucky to the Liberty Bowl, only he's got the Wildcats taking on Texas.

Jason Kirk of SBNation.com calls for Kentucky to return to the TaxSlayer Bowl, however unlikely that might seem, against NC State.

SEC's bowl picture

Alabama and Georgia defeated LSU and South Carolina at home and by comfortable margins on Saturday, so they will remain, in one order or another, 1 and 2 in the next College Football Playoff rankings.

With Ohio State and Penn State losing on Saturday, the Big Ten will likely be shut out of the College Football Playoff. Washington soundly defeated Oregon but the Huskies are the Pac-12's only one-loss team and they ranked No. 12 going into the week. So there's a strong possibility that both the Big Ten and the Pac-12 will be left out of the sport's four-team championship semifinal.

Clemson, Oklahoma and TCU are among the other College Football Playoff contenders, but if Alabama and Georgia win out it looks very likely that even the loser of the SEC Championship Game will earn a spot in the playoff. That would bump every other team in the league up a spot in the bowl pecking order.

The more top teams losing, the better it is for Mississippi State and/or Auburn. Those teams still have an opportunity to play their way into a New Year's Six game, which would also help the bowl jockeying for SEC teams below them. Auburn pounded Texas A&M in College Station and Mississippi State survived a scare from UMass.

Here are the records and remaining schedules for each of the SEC's bowl eligible teams and those that still harbor postseason aspirations:

Alabama (9-0, 6-0): @ Mississippi State, Mercer, @ Auburn

Georgia (9-0, 6-0): @ Auburn, Kentucky, @ Georgia Tech

Auburn (7-2, 5-1): Georgia, UL-Monroe, Alabama

Mississippi State (7-2, 3-2): Alabama, @ Arkansas, Ole Miss

LSU (6-3, 3-2): @ Tennessee, Texas A&M

South Carolina (6-3, 4-3): Florida, Wofford, Clemson

Kentucky (6-3, 3-3): @ Vanderbilt, @ Georgia, Louisville

Texas A&M (5-4, 3-3): New Mexico, @ Ole Miss, @ LSU

Missouri (4-5, 1-4): Tennessee, @ Vanderbilt, @ Arkansas

Florida (3-5, 3-4): @ South Carolina, Florida

Tennessee (4-5, 0-5): @ Missouri, LSU, Vanderbilt

Vanderbilt (4-5, 0-5): Kentucky, Missouri, @ Tennessee

Arkansas (4-5, 1-4): @ LSU, Mississippi State, Missouri
