Poole, Jones in car accident Friday morning

His team takes the court Friday night, but Terrence Jones is grabbing some attention off it.
Jones and teammate Stacey Poole Jr. were involved in a car accident at about 2:30 a.m. Friday. The two were passengers in a car struck by a man who has been charged with DUI.

In a statement on his website, UK coach John Calipari said that no one was injured in the collision, and that Jones left the scene of the accident "in fear of an altercation with the driver of the oncoming vehicle," but later was questioned by police.
WLEX-18 reported on its website Friday that Jones got in an altercation with the driver of the oncoming vehicle before leaving the scene.
Citing sources, WLEX reported that Jones was found at a location along Alexandria Drive and was "slightly under the influence with alcohol." Jones indicated he left the scene, "hoping that Coach Calipari would not find out," WLEX reported, citing sources.
"Our players did not break any rules by being out last night," Calipari said in the statement. "As of yesterday, this team did not have a curfew and our normal procedure is to begin the season without one. I usually let the actions of my team determine a curfew. However, because of the actions of a select few, this team has showed me an inability to make proper judgment and decisions that they've been given the freedom to make.
"Therefore, going forward, this team will now have a curfew for the rest of the season. I will inform the team of a time later today."
Poole has been evaluating his future with the Wildcats and has not participated in exhibition games or recent practices.
In his statement, Calipari did not address whether Jones would play in Friday night's season opener against Marist.
"We hold our players to a higher standard at Kentucky," Calipari said in the website release. "They must learn that they've been placed in a leadership role and that every action defines this team, this state and its fans. As always, any additional punishment will be handled within the team."
Key Matchups
Anthony Davis vs. Adam Kemp
Marist doesn't have much size, so the Red Foxes will count on the 6-foot-10 Kemp to counter Kentucky's long, athletic freshman.
Kentucky vs. Apathy
The Cats showed a killer instinct against Morehouse that was lacking against Transylvania. Can they avoid looking ahead to Kansas on Tuesday?
