Offer analysis: Jordon Scott

Largo (Fla.) Pinellas Park defensive tackle Jordon Scott is the player who picked up Kentucky's latest offer.

He's a unique player who would seem to feel a clear need.

Scott is a three-star prospect according to Rivals.com, and a lot of that is because of size and how it relates to the position he plays.

He's a 6-foot-1, 350-pound defensive tackle whose offer list has exploded.

Forecast for Kentucky: The Cats have a lot of competition here. Scott became popular going into the spring and some of his more recent offers are from Florida, Louisville, Iowa State and Wake Forest, but he's got a lot more than that. The offer to Florida at the beginning of this month could be particularly attractive to Scott, because he grew up liking the Gators. The summer will tell us a lot about what schools Scott has taken an early interest in.

Scouting Report: Scott would be expected to play the same position that Matt Elam and Naquez Pringle will play in Lexington this fall. He's a first team all-state selection from last year and even as a junior he had better athleticism than a lot of people would expect for a player his size. He's nimble, gets off blocks and can even chase down some running backs from position swhere you wouldn't expect someone like him to.
