Kentucky offers Cal commit, visit could happen

Gabe Cherry may be committed to Cal but the west coast defensive lineman picked up an offer from Kentucky this week and is serious about exploring a relationship with UK's coaches.

Cal certainly has to be considered the home state favorite in Cherry's recruitment.

But Cherry, the half-brother of former Baylor basketball standout and one-time Kentucky recruiting target Isaiah Austin, told Cats Illustrated that he's got serious interest in Kentucky and he likes having an opportunity to play in the Southeastern Conference.
