Cats Illustrated has learned that freshman Kentucky wide receiver Javonte Richardson will be leaving the Wildcats' program and heading to the junior college level.

It's the fourth transfer for Kentucky football in the past week.

Quarterback Drew Barker, running back Bryant Koback and defensive lineman Ja'Quize Cross have all announced their decisions to transfer from Kentucky in recent days.

While Richardson has not made an announcement, Cats Illustrated has learned that he will not return to Kentucky.

Richardson was the highest-ranked player from Kentucky's 2017 signing class. He was ranked the No. 4 player in Ohio, the No. 5 athlete in the nation and the No. 114 prospect regardless of position.

Although Richardson had a lofty ranking coming out of high school, he turned out to be the only freshman receiver in Kentucky's 2017 class who didn't see the field with Clevan Thomas, Lynn Bowden, Isaiah Epps and Josh Ali all getting varying amounts of playing time in 2017.
