Jarren Williams has a favorite

Earlier this week quarterback Jarren Williams announced that he was decommitting from Kentucky and opening his recruitment back up.

The widespread assumption was, according to most pundits and fans, that it would be "on to the next" in Kentucky's search for a quarterback.

At the time of Williams' decommitment he was fresh off visits to Alabama, LSU, Ole Miss, Florida, Florida State and Tennessee, and he had picked up offers from all of those schools.

Names like Chase Wolf and Kevin Doyle emerged at quarterback, with Darin Hinshaw making plans to go watch the former throw on Friday, and the latter this coming Monday.

But CatsIllustrated.com reported earlier today that Kentucky would continue to aggressively recruit Williams in spite of his decommitment.

On Thursday afternoon, CatsIllustrated.com touched base with Williams and the former Kentucky commitment said, "UK is number one."

Maybe that shouldn't come as a huge surprise.

Williams has said he doesn't want to do interviews on his decommitment, but in his social media post announcing his decommitment from the Cats he didn't rule out the possibility that he could return to the fold.

UPDATE: Later Thursday evening Williams informed CatsIllustrated.com, "I'll definitely visit again," referring to Kentucky. Such a visit is not yet planned.

Williams also told CatsIllustrated.com that Kentucky's coaches will visit Lawrenceville (Ga.) Central Gwinnett on May 1st and May 12th. Williams is expecting both Darin Hinshaw and Vince Marrow to make the visit.
