Kentucky guard Jamal Murray was drafted by the Denver Nuggets in the first round of Thursday night's NBA Draft.
The Nuggets selected the Cats' leading scorer with the seventh pick in the first round of the draft.
Murray is the 20th Kentucky player to be drafted in the first round since John Calipari took over as the program's head coach. He's the 14th player drafted in the lottery of the draft during that time.
Murray played 35.2 minutes per game in his only season at Kentucky. He averaged 20 points, 5.2 rebounds and 2.2 assists, shooting 40.8-percent from three point range and breaking Kentucky's single-season record for the number of treys in a season.
The Nuggets finished 33-49 in the 2015-16 NBA season, which placed them fourth in the Northwest Division of the Western Conference.
