Kentucky announced its entire 2017-2018 out-of-conference schedule on Tuesday afternoon.
The majority of the out-of-confernece games were announced but today UK confirmed games and dates against Utah Valley, Vermont, East Tennessee State, Troy, Fort Wayne and rival Louisville. All of those newly announced games will take place at Rupp Arena.
The annual Bluegrass Battle against the Cardinals will take place on Friday, Dec. 29th on CBS. No time has been set.
Harvard is the only team that didn't play in the postseason last season. Utah Valley and UIC played in the CBI while Fort Wayne went 20-13 in 2016-2017 and went to the CIT.
After an impressive 27-7 season, Monmouth just missed the NCAA Tournament and went to the NIT.
Vermont, Kansas, ETSU, Troy, Virginia Tech, UCLA, Louisville and West Virginia all made it to the NCAA Tournament.
UK's matchup against Vermont is the first time the Cats will play a team from the Green Mountain State. After that game is played the Cats will have played a team from 49 states. North Dakota is the only state to never have a college play against Kentucky.
UK will play nine home out-of-conference games and nine home games in the SEC. The conference announced opponents last week:
2017-18 SEC Home Games: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Missouri, Tennessee, Texas A&M and Vanderbilt.
2017-18 SEC Away Games: Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, LSU, Missouri, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas A&M and Vanderbilt.
