DeAndre Square is one of the top players in Michigan and one of the top linebackers in the Midwest.

He committed to Kentucky back in June, having visited Kentucky for a second time.

Last week, he visited Lexington again, and this time with his father, who had never been to Lexington before. Where do things stand now?

Square told CatsIllustrated.com that this latest trip to Kentucky was mostly about giving his father a chance to check out Kentucky, let him share his thoughts, and make sure everyone was on board with the choice.

"He loved it," Square told CatsIllustrated.com after returning home from the visit.

As for Square's own status with Kentucky?

No regrets one month into the commitment.

"No place I'd rather be," Square said confidently.

This latest trip to Kentucky didn't last for too long and it wasn't too involved. It was more of a low key trip that was less about the red carpet and more about building familiarity and getting the family plugged into his future in Lexington.

"It was my dad's first time visiting so we showed him around and just chilled," he said.
