Class of 2017 Kentucky quarterback commitment Mac Jones received high marks for his performance at The Opening Regional in Orlando, Fla.

Here's what quarterback coach Tony Ballard had to say about Jones at the event:

"He was probably the most consistent guy today. I like his compact stroke and throwing motion. I think he gets on top of the ball like he is supposed to. He needs to use his core a little more because he’s got a light frame and he’s around 6’2” or so. I think he needs to work his lower body a little more (in the weight room). I really like the way the ball came out of his hands. "

Jones' impressive showing in Orlando follows a recent hot streak on the recruiting trail.

He added an offer from Arizona State on Sunday, with the Sun Devils becoming the first Power Five school to offer the Cats' 6-foot-2, 185-pound commitment.

Jones also has offers from West Virginia, Illinois and Boston College, among others, with all of those offers coming recently.

He visited Kentucky most recently for the Cats' junior day in early February.
