GW: I would have to say Tracy McGrady. The Orlando Magic is my favorite team, and T-Mac was my favorite player when he was there. I still like him even though he's not there anymore. He's a great player, really fun to watch.
TCP: Not counting anything that you've taken part in, what is your favorite sporting event that you've witnessed?
GW: Not any one event in particular, but I would have to say drag racing. Can you count that as a sport? Not too many people know that about me, but I love it. I've been going since I was a little kid. I love the excitement of it all, the sounds and the speed of two cars going down the track. It's a rush.
TCP: If you were down to your last CD, on the proverbial desert island and you'd never have anything else to listen to, what would the first three songs be on your mix?
GW: Wow. That's a tough one. I would say "Put On" by Young Jeezy. I would say "Bia Bia" by Lil Jon. I like crunk stuff. And then I gotta change it up a little bit, "Let's Get It On" by Marvin Gaye.
TCP: What's your all-time most annoying song?
GW: Hmm… I don't know if I have one. How 'bout "Who Let The Dogs Out?"
TCP: If you could go back in time and witness or take part in a historical event, which one would you choose?
GW: I would say maybe the Million Man March. I think that would have been impressive to see that many people coming together in one place for a cause they believe in. I've always believed very strongly in people standing up for civil rights.
TCP: If you could invite three people, living or dead, to take part in a dinner party, who would they be?
GW: The first one would be my grandfather because he passed away before I was born, and I never got to know him. That would be a big one. The next would be my sister because she's done so much for me, been a big part of my life and helped me achieve my goals. The third would be my high school coach. He put me through a whole lot, but it helped get me here.
TCP: Since you have a sister, this next one is perfect for you. Which of your teammates would you be most comfortable with her dating?
GW: I'd say Marcus Davis. He's a good guy, one of the best on our team. He's a great friend to have, and I know he'd have good manners and be a gentleman – all that stuff.
TCP: Which one of your teammates would make the best reality TV star?
GW: Shomari Moore. Shomari Moore. Without a doubt. That boy's a character. You guys might not see it out here, but he's a funny dude. He'd be perfect for reality TV.
TCP: You wouldn't catch me dead doing…
GW: Wearing a Louisville shirt. (Laughs) Growing up, maybe. I liked Louisville a long time ago. But now, uh-uh. Not a chance. I've got UK in my blood. I bleed blue.
TCP: What was your favorite cartoon growing up, and what character best exemplifies your personality?
GW: Cartoon would be the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I loved those guys. The character… The Flash, because I'm so fast. (Laughs)
TCP: What's your favorite quote or saying?
GW: To be the best you've got to beat the best. I think that kind of sums up where we are with this team. We're in the toughest conference in the country, and we play somebody really good every week. If you want to get respect, you have to go out and take it. We beat LSU last year and we're looking to beat more of those teams this year.
