Johnny Fritz is going to know a lot more about the Commonwealth by the time July is over.

The 6-foot-3, 180-pound receiver from Saint Cloud, Fla., will visit four of the state's schools next month.

Fritz picked up a verbal offer from Kentucky earlier this year and he told Cats Illustrated this week that he plans to visit Lexington on July 17.

Not coincidentally, that's Kentucky's next big summer camp event.

The staff wants to watch Fritz work out in person. How well he does will likely determine what kind of priority Mark Stoops' staff makes him going forward.

Fritz is a Class of 2018 recruit -- a rising junior -- so he doesn't need to make a decision any time soon.

The UK staff wants to watch him work out at receiver.

"I know they're in the SEC, which is really great," Fritz told Cats Illustrated this week. "And they play the best of the best. So that's pretty cool. They have a great campus, a great school, and they have what I want to go to school for."

Fritz wants to study sports medicine.

Co-offensive coordinator, quarterbacks coach and Central Florida-region recruiter Darin Hinshaw is the coach who has taken the lead with Fritz.

Fritz said he hasn't taken any visits yet this summer.

"My head coach is going to visit with me and we're going to go to four schools while we're up there," Fritz said. "We'll go to EKU, WKU and Louisville (in addition to UK)."
