Cats Illustrated can confirm that five-star forward E.J. Montgomery has committed to Kentucky.
It's a huge development for Kentucky's 2018 recruiting class.
Over the weekend, Cats Illustrated's David Sisk reported that his sources were saying Montgomery was narrowing his focus to Kentucky and Vanderbilt. Duke, North Carolina and others had also been in the picture up until the very end of his recruitment.
Ranked the No. 11 player in the nation by Rivals.com, Montgomery is also rated the No. 2 power forward in the 2018 class.
The McDonald's All-American becomes Kentucky's fourth '18 commitment joining signees Immanuel Quickley, Keldon Johnson and Tyler Herro, although the 6-foot-10, 215-pound big man from Marietta (Ga.) Wheeler is the first big in the class for the Wildcats.
