Five-star shooting guard Romeo Langford has settled on seven final schools for his college decision.

The 6-foot-4, 185-pound New Albany, Ind., native, who played for John Calipari and USA Basketball this summer, included the Cats in his list of seven schools.

Joining Kentucky is Indiana, Louisville, North Carolina, Kansas, Vanderbilt and UCLA. A surprising omissions was Duke. The Blue Devils have been recruiting Langford for over a year and made Langford a priority at the shooting guard position.

UK may have a tough time landing Langford, who lives just 80 minutes from Lexington. The Cats have offered other players at Langford's position and it seems that things stalled between Langford and UK after he played for Calipari this summer.

Langford was sidelined the majority of the FIBA World Cup because of a back injury. He appeared in just five games and averaged 5.8 minutes per game.

Considered one of the best scorers in the adidas Gauntlet Circuit, Langford has four adidas schools on his final list. Local schools Indiana and Louisville are both sponsored by adidas.

UK did continue to watch Langford after the USA experience, but the Cats aren't considered one of the favorites in Langford's recruitment.

It's unclear if Langford will announce in the fall or wait until the spring.
