Five-star point guard Darius Garland announced on Twitter his final six schools in his recruitment.
The Nashville recruit included the hometown Commodores, but also five other blueblood programs, including the Cats.
The Cats offered Garland on Sunday after watching the 6-foot, 150-pound recruit on Sunday. Kentucky had a plethora of coaches, including John Calipari, watch Garland at the Nike EYBL Finals at Peach Jam.
Garland averaged over 16 points and three assists during the event and shot over 34 percent from deep.
Duke, Vanderbilt and Indiana have made Garland a priority while Kansas and UCLA have also been in the picture for sometime. Kentucky was a bit late to the party with the offer this week, but UK has kept tabs on Garland for months.
Garland hasn't indicated when he will make a final decision but it's likely he will take all five of his official visits, and sources tell Cats Illustrated UK will likely land a visit. Odds are Garland will unofficially visit Vanderbilt since he lives in Nashville, and officially visit the other five schools on his list.
He is the second point guard UK has offered in the class of 2018.
