First-team all-state wide receiver in talent-rich Georgia his senior year ... Caught 35 passes for 637 yards and eight touchdowns ... Also had 19 rushing plays on end-arounds, sweeps, etc., for 282 yards, a 14.8-yard average, and five touchdowns ... Three-year starter at LaGrange (Ga.) HS, the same program that produced former UK wide receiver and current Atlanta Falcon Quentin McCord ... Helped LaGrange to a three-year record of 37-2, including a Class AAA state championship his junior year ... Caught a school-record 14 passes in the 2001 state championship game and blocked a punt that set up the game-winning touchdown in LaGrange's 22-19 title victory over Cedartown ...
