Dort starts 2016 season in style

Kentucky cornerback commitment Cedrick Dort made quite the grand entrance on Friday night.

In the season opener for West Palm Beach (Fla.) Dwyer the future Wildcat starting things off in style.

Dort intercepted a pass and returned it for a touchdown.

The video of that can be seen below.

As one might imagine, that play lingered in Dort's memory after the game and well into Saturday.

"It felt good. I owed them that one from last year when I picked them off and didn't score because I didn't follow my block," Dort said with laugh.

Dwyer defeated Boynton Beach 40-0.

"All around I was good," Dort said of his performance beyond the interception and score. "I never got beat deep or (had) passes caught on me. I practice that way so I'm not surprised how I performed, but I did better than I expected myself to."

In addition to the pick six Dort had four tackles and three other pass breakups.
