Defensive lineman: I could see myself playing there

One of the recruits at Kentucky's game against Mississippi State landed an offer from the Cats while he was at Commonwealth Stadium.

After taking in the sights, sounds and the pitch from the coaches, he says he could see himself playing at Kentucky.

Tyler Bentley is a 6-foot-3, 280-pound defensive lineman from West Chester (Ohio) Lakota West, the same school that has sent players like Mikel Horton, George Asafo-Adjei and Kayaune Ross to Kentucky.

Before Saturday, Bentley had taken unofficial visits to Michigan State, Miami-OH and Toledo this fall. Purdue is his next visit destination.

Bentley expects more offers to come after his junior season, but for now he's thinking about Kentucky, thanks to the Wildcats' offer on Saturday.

He called his trip to Kentucky "great" when Cats Illustrated caught up with him.

"I loved the atmosphere and the way they play football," Bentley said. "The facilities are top notch and they take good care of their players. I talked to Coach (Vince) Marrow and he said he loves the way I move, my aggressiveness and my ability to make tackles. He said he really wants me to play for him."

Bentley's reaction?

"Great coach," he said of Marrow. "I could see myself playing there."
